During this time your luggage will be delivered to your room. After the tour you can settle into your beautiful guest room. There will be afternoon tea and cookies! Tonight enjoy a Dinner Buffet.
Day two Breakfast buffet to get your day started, then enjoy the many amenities, including a year-round heated indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, hiking trails, mountain bike, tennis and pickleball courts, and state of the art gym facility. Werner von Trapp built a chapel on a hill behind the lodge, after surviving a battle during WWII. He promised God that if he survived, he would build a chapel in God’s honor and came through on his promise once he returned safely from war. Learn more about this amazing feat and visit the chapel on a “Hike to the Chapel” tour (cost).
Visit Vermont’s largest brewery, a special gathering place for lunch (on own) at the von Trapp Bierhall, attached to von Trapp Brewing and serves up lunch selections with a decidedly Austrian flair. Try the freshly brewed von Trapp Brewing lagers and local hard cider in a unique Austrian atmosphere. The Bierhall is the only place in Stowe that features delicious new test batches of von Trapp Brewing lagers!
You’ll never run out of things to do today with the fabled Stowe village only minutes away. A side trip will be offered to Stowe, a charming city located in the Green Mountains. Known for its natural beauty and historic downtown area, along with quaint shops, restaurants, and cafes, it is one of Vermont’s most loved mountain towns.
You can easily fill your day with adventure. And don’t forget to relax after a long day with a cocktail on the lounge patio or beers in the Biergarten, before enjoying a delicious Dinner Buffet.
