Travel today to the Outer Banks where beaches stretch for miles – this is America’s first Beach! The site of our country’s first National Seashore and the place where the English first tried to settle in the New World. National and State Parks share those stories and more, on the land of firsts!
Check-in for a 4-night stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks in Corolla, NC. located right on the best walking beach at the outer banks! Features indoor pool, outdoor pool with lazy river, and complimentary hot breakfast each morning!

Tuesday, September 16
Depart for Wild Horse Adventure Tours! Feel the ocean breeze and taste the salty beach air as you cruise the Outer Banks beaches in an open-air Hummer with your guide in search of the Colonial Spanish Mustangs! View the horses in their natural environment as we transport you into three distinct ecosystems teeming with wildlife accessible only by off-road vehicles.
Visit the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, climbing optional for additional fee. Depart for lunch on own and Shopping time at Timbuck II with a wide variety of dining and fun shops!
Return to the Inn for a nice relaxing afternoon to enjoy beach and pools! Dinner will be included this evening at Captain George Seafood Buffet featuring two soups, large fresh salad bar, all you can eat crab legs, shrimp, fish, clams, meats, sides, and 16 different freshly made desserts!
Wednesday, September 17
Enjoy a morning walk on the beach before we depart for a visit at the Wright Brothers National Park and Monumnent. See where the famous First Flight occurred!
Depart to Village of Manteo on Roanoke Island. Enjoy lunch on own and shops in the quaint waterfront village. Then we will depart to Festival Park Living History Museum. We will see the film The Legend of Two Path showcasing the arrival of the first English Colonists to the new world from the Native American’s perspective. Tour the replica sailing ship the Elizabeth II, see the settlement and Indian village, visit the Discovery Museum, and learn more about the Lost Colony!
Depart to Lone Cedar Cafe for family style feast of BBQ Ribs, fresh shrimp, sauteed tuna, crab dip, cheesy potatoes, green beans, cornbread, choice of key lime pie or Hershey Cake for dessert, iced tea, water, coffee, soda, bar items at own expense!
Return to the Inn to enjoy an evening walk on the beach!
Thursday, September 18
Board coach to Cape Hatteras National Seashore! Stop by Bodie Lighthouse for photos, then continue to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, tallest in North America! Enjoy box lunch here, provided by Subway choice of turkey or ham sub. Visit the Cape Hatteras Museum and gift shop!
Depart for Johnny Dolphin Cruise – you will see nature at its best! Sea turtles, porpoises, pelicans and so much more! Don’t forget your camera, sunscreen, jacket or sweatshirt in the off-season, and drinks! Everyone will have a great time onboard!
Return to your hotel to refresh before departing for our farewell dinner at the Sunset Grill – Choices TBA. Features amazing sunsets and views of the Currituck Sound!

We bid farewell to the Outer Banks and return home from an exciting Coastal Journey!
