Day 1 Saturday, October 17
Travel south through Pennsylvania to start our tour of Harpers Ferry National Park, where a visit is like stepping into the past. Harpers Ferry National Park offers a rich blend of history and stunning scenery, one of the most visited locations is a vantagepoint at the top of the peninsula nicknamed “The Point.” Here is the perfect view of the spot at which the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers converge and flow through the gap in the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it a perfect experience for our group!
Then it’s on to Winchester VA for an overnight stay and dinner included. (D)
Day 2 Sunday, October 18
Arrive in Pigeon Forge Tennessee for a 4-night stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, surrounded by the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains for her fabulous fall fun annual Harvest Festival – Great Pumpkin LumiNights is the highlight at Dollywood – with thousands of creatively carved pumpkins and larger than-life pumpkin icons.
Best Fall Festival in the Smokies – where crisp autumn days burst with vivid color, and magical nights shimmer with illuminating surprises. The air fills with the scent of fall treats, the mountains transform into vibrant colors, and the sounds of Southern gospel, country, and bluegrass performers are the heart and soul of fall at Dollywood!
Tonight enjoy dinner and entertainment at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show, with thrilling horse-riding stunts, spectacular special effects, phenomenal musical productions plus a mouth-watering four-course feast complete with a delicious dessert! “It’s the most fun place to eat in the Smokies”! Day 3 Monday, October 19
Your ticket to Dollywood Theme Park – the friendliest theme park atmosphere in the world! Full day to enjoy and extend to nights all aglow during Harvest Festival featuring the award-winning Great Pumpkin LumiNights nighttime experience with hundreds of artistic pumpkin sculptures, in whimsical and delightful scenes throughout the park.
The songteller exhibit at Dollywood is a highlight of the Dolly Parton Experience, offering a walk-through journey that spans Dolly’s life and career. Hear her read from a letter to her parents, reflecting on her journey from Nashville to becoming a global music superstar. The exhibit includes a timeline of her life, personal items like her famous “coat of many colors,” and an immersive 360-degree projection show. Additionally, the Behind The Seams exhibit showcases her iconic clothing, shoes, and wigs, providing an inside look at her signature style. The Dreamsong Theater features stories about Dolly’s family and faith, accompanied by childhood photos and home videos. The exhibit isa must-see for fans and visitors alike, offering a deep dive into Dolly’s storied career and personal life. (B)
Day 4 Tuesday, October 20
After breakfast, visit the Apple Barn Winery, located on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in the Apple Barn Village. The Apple Barn Winery offers a unique twist on wine: instead of grapes, they use locally grown apples to handcraft the wine on-site! Be sure to visit the world-famous Apple Barn General Store & Cider Mill, a bakery, and more!
Next, depart for historic downtown Gatlinburg, spend the afternoon strolling downtown, enjoying lunch (on own) at one of the many friendly dining venue, to satisfy every palate, as well as every pocket-book.
Return to your lovely resort and enjoy all the amenities! Tonight, we will head out for a fun night at The Island with dinner included at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, all served family style! (B,D)
Day 5 Wednesday, October 21
Depart the lovely DreamMore Resort and explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with our Step-On Guide, a tour experience about the Heart of the Smokies and the Life of Dolly!
Return to your lovely resort and enjoy all the amenities! Tonight, we will head out for a fun farewell to enjoy a delicious dinner at Bullfish Restaurant.
Following dinner enjoy a fantastic show at Country Tonite with a variety of singing and dancing, side-splitting comedy, powerful gospel, and American patriotism. The love of God, family and country resonates throughout the show. (B,D)
Day 6 Thursday, October 22
After breakfast, we will check out and say goodbye to Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort, until next year!
If you feel like a bean, or want to learn all about beans, this is where that beautiful Bean Co. was born, nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, spreading that good bean word, “Bush’s Best.”
Depart for Staunton Virginia, located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley – staying at Hotel 24 South, with dinner included. This mountain town is often named one of the most beautiful “Main Streets,” in the United States. (B,D)
Day 7 Friday, October 23
Depart for home with many beautiful memories – A tour you won’t want to miss, especially if you have never seen the Great Smoky Mountains National Park spectacular fall foliage…. (B)
