Day One, Sunday, October 18, 2026
Arrive in DC and we begin with a visit to the Planet Word Museum, a museum with a mission to inspire a love of words and language (the world’s first!), with interactive galleries and exhibits bringing words and language to life in all sorts of fun ways.
Check into The Alexandrian Old Town in Alexandria Virginia (Baggage handling included)
Dinner at IL Porto Italian Ristorante, Italian cuisine amid old-world charm. Meals: D
Day Two, Monday, October 19, 2026
Enjoy included breakfast at the hotel. Meet your DC guide at the hotel and depart on tour.
Arrive at the National Zoological Park to see the PANDAS! A Smithsonian Institution, the one zoo in the United States owned by all Americans. Its animal population totals nearly 3000 specimens. Visit Amazonia, a re-created microcosm of the world’s largest rain forest.
Next, take a guided tour of the Mexican Cultural Institute, the vibrant art, history, and culture of Mexico, located in a historic mansion just blocks from the White House.
Arrive at Union Market for lunch on your own. A haven for foodies, more than 50 merchants under one roof, which means there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy.
Tour President Lincoln’s Cottage, located on a picturesque hilltop in DC, a significant historic site directly associated with Lincoln’s presidency aside from the White House.
Continue to Tall Ship Providence for a Dock Side History Tour followed by a Cocktail Reception. Step back in time into the shoes of a sailor fighting in the American Revolution. When you’re ready, you will board Providence and present yourself to her esteemed captain – the legendary John Paul Jones, Father of the American Navy. From there, you will visit the quarterdeck, the main deck, the captain’s cabin, and the hold to see where you’ll be spending the next several months during your time at sea. And while here, listen to Chantey men singers and participate in a Sea Chantey!

Day Three, Tuesday, October 20, 2026

First visit the Woodrow Wilson House with a guided tour. The house is a time capsule from the 1920s see what life was like in this preserved post-presidential residence.
Arrive at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. Enjoy a guided tour of this historic Roman Catholic Cathedral, known for its stunning mosaic, fresco and marble interior. The building’s architecture is designed in a cross shape and features a large dome.
Next, arrive at The Square Food Hall for lunch on your own. Experience DC’s culinary scene at The Square: a premier food hall and vibrant atmospheres under one roof.
Ignite your curiosity at the New National Geographic Museum of Exploration a world of new possibilities, the spirit of exploration, and experience the wonder of the ocean.
Enjoy dinner on your own and free time in Old Town Alexandria at Leisure. Meals: B
Day Four, Wednesday, October 21, 2026

Depart with your DC guide and our first stop on the tour is at the Einstein Memorial, 21-foot-high bronze statue depicts the genius pondering a 3,000-star galaxy carved on granite.
Visit The Lincoln Undercroft. A new experience underneath the Lincoln Memorial will provide opportunities to get up close to replicas of the statue and other aspects of the memorial and examine the symbolism and meanings behind each.
Arrive at the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens. Enjoy afternoon tea with a glass of sparkling rose. During your visit the mansion and gardens is a self-guided exploration. The gardens are set among 25 acres of wooded hillside located in the heart of Washington DC.
Depart for home telling others of all the Hidden Gems you discovered! Meals: B, Afternoon Tea

ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.
RESERVATIONS: To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation. Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses. No Risk deposits for travelers – Fully refundable up to final payment (60-days prior to departure). After final payment, cancelled within 60-day, all monies paid will stay as a credit in your account until you are able to once again travel. However, Wade Tour & Travel, acts only as an agent in arranging the various accommodations, sightseeing, restaurant and attraction reservations which are made available and therefore, assumes no responsibility for non-recoverable expenses!
