Arrive at Natural Bridge State Park to see the 215-foot high Natural Bridge once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

Day Two, Wednesday, September 9, 2026 – Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello
Breakfast Buffet before we depart for the day with a morning stop in Lexington VA for a fully narrated Carriage Tour – your horse-drawn carriage will take you past many historic places of interest.
After our tour depart for Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, Charlottesville, VA.
Enjoy a bountiful Southern Midday Fare at Michie Tavern, before exploring the House of Thomas Jefferson, the only U.S. presidential and private home on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Next, enjoy a tour of Monticello, the primary residence and plantation of Thomas Jefferson, a Founding Father, author of the Declaration of Independence, and the third president of the United States.
Next, we travel to Eastwood Farm and Winery for award-winning wines and a delicious dinner… Hear their story what happens when the talents and interests of three women – specifically a mother and two of her daughters – come together serendipitously? Sometimes it creates something magical.

Day Three, Thursday, September 10, 2026 – Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest
After a leisurely Breakfast, we travel to Lynchburg, VA., for another lovely day in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, a scenic and historical rich landscape to Visit 250 Years of Freedom as we explore Jefferson’s Personal Retreat…..
Poplar Forest and the 250th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Experience the natural beauty and architectural wonders of a National Historic Landmark, a unique opportunity to hear the stories of Jefferson’s family, the free and enslaved craftsmen who built the historic masterpiece and the enslaved people who lived and labored on the plantation. After our tour of Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest, we head over to Smith Mountain Lake, a scenic destination in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a 2-hour lunch cruise aboard the Virginia Dare.
This afternoon you’ll visit The Memorial & Bedford – National D-Day Memorial. Opened June 1, 2019, the Bedford Boys Tribute Center is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive museum promulgating the legacies of our famed “Bedford Boys.” Walk in their footsteps inside Bedford’s iconic and historic Green’s Drugstore where they hung out as young men. Learn about them growing up and about their supreme sacrifices made that forever teach us that freedom is not free.
