Arrive at Courtyard by Marriot Washington, DC/U.S. Capitol for a 3-night stay.
Meet our Guide, Tammy Belden, and depart for a welcome dinner at Tony and Joe’s Seafood Place. Following dinner depart for a walk through The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Enjoy the city views from the terrace. Then continue with our guide on a Monuments by Moonlight an Illuminated Driving Tour. Washington’s memorials, and monuments sparkle and are impressive during the day; but in the evening they are illuminated and stunning at night! Meals: D
Day Two, Friday, September 29, 2023
Enjoy Breakfast at our hotel before our visit to Arlington National Cemetery, must present a valid photo I.D. upon entering the cemetery.
No land in American is more sacred than this square mile. It is America’s shrine to valor and sacrifice. This is the final resting place for President John F. Kennedy, and thousands of soldiers from every major U.S. war. The Tomb of the Unknowns speaks of a nation’s debt to the many whose ultimate sacrifice helped make a nation free. Tram tickets are included on your visit.
Next, take a guided tour of The Pentagon Memorial – was created to remember and honor those family members and friends who are no longer with us because of the events of September 11th, 2001. Visit Pentagon City Shopping Mall and have lunch on your own.
After lunch, depart for the Washington National Cathedral, standing higher than the Washington Monument, it is the sixth largest church in the world. This 14th-Century-style Gothic wonder took 83-years to build, it is a living symbol of our country’s heritage of faith and religious freedom.
Depart for a drive by The Jefferson Memorial. The 19-foot statue of the third president stands beneath a rotunda inscribed with passages from the Declaration of Independence and Jefferson’s other famous writings. Looking from the memorial across the Tidal Basin provides an unforgettable view of the city.
Drive by The Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. This memorial to FDR combines sculpture, water and natural landscape to forge a dramatic setting for recounting the events and terms in office.
Drive by The Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. Dr. King’s life: justice, democracy, and hope.
Dinner at Elephant & Castle, a British pub serving fish ‘n’ chips, American classics, and more.
After dinner, a stop at The National World War II Memorial. This memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II. The memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people to the common defense of the nation and to the broader causes of peace and freedom from tyranny throughout the world.
Depart and drive by the White House, in the moonlight, on our return to your hotel. Meals: B, D
Day Three, Saturday, September 30, 2023
Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel.
Depart hotel for a visit to the Ford’s Theatre, pending availability. Restored as it was the night John Wilkes Booth shot President Abraham Lincoln, is one of the most visited sites in Washington DC. See the newly renovated Petersen House to see where Lincoln died. Here, you can learn more about that fateful night and the people who surrounded the President in his final hours.
Continue our tour with stops at The Vietnam Veterans Memorial and The Lincoln Memorial. Also, The Korean War Veterans Memorial, a triangular field contains nineteen ground troopers, clad in foul weather ponchos, fully equipped for battle.
Enjoy lunch on your own at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
Visit the Museum of the Bible, one of the World’s largest private collections of biblical artifacts, which conveys the global impact and compelling history of the Bible in a unique and powerful way.
Enjoy dinner included at The Fish Market Restaurant in Historic Old Town Alexandria Virginia.
After dinner enjoy a Colonial Guided Tour of Old Town Alexandria, a beautifully preserved historic district on the Potomac River, in the heart of the city George Washington called home.

Day Four, Sunday, October 1, 2023
Enjoy breakfast before checking out of the hotel. Then depart for a Cruise on the Potomac River to Mount Vernon, the estate of George Washington.
This Southern plantation standing on the banks of the Potomac River details the life of the “Father of Our Country” while providing fascinating insights into colonial times. America’s most visited historic house, Mount Vernon is both George Washington’s home and final resting-place.
Enjoy lunch on own while visiting Mount Vernon before departing for Home. Meals: B
