Today our panoramic landscape will take us on a visit to the Kinzua Gorge, just outside of Mount Jewett, to enjoy great views from the site’s glass-bottomed skywalk which extends 600 feet over and 230 above the bottom of the gorge. This gorge was the home to the Kinzua Viaduct, built in 1882 as a railroad bridge to span the 2053-foot wide gorge. An engineering marvel at the time it was built, it was known as

the 8th man-made wonder. After a tornado destroyed a portion of the structure the skywalk was built on the remaining supports honoring the bridge’s history while creating a new scenic landmark. Enjoy the visitors center featuring historical displays highlighting the age of engineering marvels and introductory video as well plus a special presentation by a Park Ranger on the history of the bridge who will accompany our group to the bridge.

Next, we travel to Titusville PA to visit the Drakes Well Museum, the birthplace of the oil industry.

Tonight, enjoy a visit to Tara – A Country Inn in Clark, PA. Visit includes a family-style meal and tour of

the 1854 Antebellum mansion, a virtual museum of “Gone with the Wind” memorabilia and Civil War artifacts. Meal will include soup of the day, home-style applesauce, country coleslaw, homemade

buttermilk biscuits, nut bread, muffins, honey glazed ham, roast turkey, sliced roast beef, mashed red skin potatoes, celery and sage stuffing, seasonal vegetable, plantation bread pudding, coffee, and tea.

Then travel to Williamsport PA where we will spend a night at the Hampton Inn & Suites.

Tonight, you will enjoy a gourmet meal at Williamsport’s Herdic House Restaurant including hot entrée, house salad, fresh vegetable, rice/potato side, coffee, or tea (hot), and the house specialty dessert, chocolate mousse cake. Entrée choices include:

Meet our costumed step-on guide, dressed in Victorian-inspired garb, for a driving tour of Historic Millionaires’ Row featuring local legend and lore. Everyone will receive a “million-dollar bill” during the tour so they can join the ranks of the city’s millionaires.

All aboard the Hiawatha Riverboat for a narrated Susquehanna River Cruise. Learn about the river’s role in making Williamsport the lumber capitol of the world in the mid-1800s when logs from the north were corralled with underwater booms, about jamcrackers that risked their lives to keep the lumber flowing down river and the Underground Railroad that used the river to help slaves from the south flee north.

Next, visit Le Jeune Chef, at the Pennsylvania School of Technology to learn about the school’s culinary program plus enjoy lunch with a dessert chef demo of the restaurant’s signature dessert, chocolate soup. Meal will include salad, entrée, chocolate soup dessert (chocolate ganache lightened with cream, surrounding a coffee flan and garnished with fresh berries, white and dark chocolate shavings, and Chantilly cream) and coffee/tea. Entrée choices include:
