Day 1 Thursday, July 20, 2023
Upon arrival in Newport, we will have lunch at LaForge Casino Restaurant, where Jackie came with her mother and stepfather to attend the annual tennis week at the Hall of Fame, when she was a teenager.
After lunch meet our tour guide, Betty Czech, to begin our adventure – Return to Camelot, all about the Kennedy wedding on Sept 12, 1953.
John F. Kennedy treasured Newport, including his wartime training at the Newport Naval Station, his wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, watching the America’s Cup races off Newport shores, and his Summer White House years at Hammersmith Farm owned by Jackie’s mother and step-father-in-law, Hugh Auchincloss. Journey back and experience the stories that led to the Camelot legacy with a narrated motorcoach tour highlighting Kennedy sights and a visit to St. Mary’s Church for the Return to Camelot presentation of live music and video from the Kennedy wedding and reception at Hammersmith Farm. Photos can be taken inside the church, including pew number 10 where the Kennedys sat for Sunday Mass when summering in Newport.
Check into the Hampton Inn & Suites Newport, followed by dinner included at a local restaurant.
Day 2 Friday, July 21, 2023
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Hampton Inn & Suites before checking out and beginning our day.
Beginning with a 75-minute Morning Mimosa Cruise on Narragansett Bay. Our knowledgeable Tour Guide will entertain you with stories about the sights, yachts, and mansions of Newport on this relaxing harbor boat tour, getting us up close to Hammersmith Farm, where the Kennedy wedding reception was held.
Next, we will visit Newport’s most spectacular Gilded Age Mansion, The Breakers is the grandest of Newport’s summer “cottages”. Here is where JFK and Jackie attended the 1962 America’s Cup ball.
Before we depart Newport, spend time for lunch (on our own) at The Brick Market Place, nestled in the heart of Newport, containing over 25 unique shops and eateries.

RESERVATIONS: To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation. Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses.
