Day 1 – Rhode Island
Welcome to Rhode Island, the Ocean State, for a 2-night stay. Enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow travelers. Crowne Plaza, Warwick, RI (D)

Day 2 Newport Mansions and Gardens
After breakfast, enjoy the charm of Newport as your local guide takes you on a narrated tour of the historic buildings with the rugged beauty of Ten-Mile Ocean Drive, and the fabulous mansions along tree-lined Bellevue Avenue. Marvel at Vanderbilt’s Breakers Mansion, the grandest of Newport’s summer “cottages”, on a self-guided audio tour. There will be free time for lunch in the historic downtown waterfront with cobblestone streets lined with antique stores, art galleries and restaurants. Later, tour the Elms Mansion modeled after an 18th century chateau. Next is a visit to Green Animals Topiary Gardens, the oldest and most northern topiary garden in the US. Enjoy dinner with a view of the harbor at your leisure at one of the local restaurants in Newport on the wharf.  (B)

Day 3 – Providence Tour – New Bedford – Hyannis
After breakfast, travel to Providence with a visit to Scialo Brothers Bakery for a behind the scenes tour with unique samplings. Your local guide will take you on a driving tour along Benefit Street’s “Mile of History” viewing colonial homes. You will have free time for lunch and shopping on Federal Hill. Next, travel to the Bay State and enjoy a docent guided visit to the Whaling Museum in New Bedford. Walk across to the Seamen’s Bethel, made famous by Herman Meville’s “Moby Dick.” Welcome to the sandy shores of Cape Cod! Enjoy your dinner this evening at a local restaurant. Check into your hotel for a 4 night stay. Holiday Inn Hyannis, Hyannis MA (B,D)

Day 4 – Martha’s Vineyard
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before your guide escorts you to the Woods Hole Ferry Docks, where you and your coach will board a ferry for a cruise to the “Storybook Island” of Martha’s Vineyard.  Upon arrival, your guide will take you on an island tour. Learn about the history and lifestyle of the islanders as you travel through the island’s villages. Lunch and shopping are on your own in the historic whaling port of Edgartown. On your return, you will hear more exciting island history, including where “Jaws” was filmed. Finish the afternoon strolling through “Cottage City”, the Methodist Campground, while viewing the beautifully decorated gingerbread houses.  Dinner is included this evening at another great, local restaurant.  (B,D)

Day 5 – Cape Cod Touring – Provincetown – Whale Watching OR Dune Tour
Rise and shine for breakfast before your local guide takes you on a full day of exploring the Cape. Travel along scenic Route 6A, the old King’s Highway, driving through colonial villages filled with wonderful examples of New England architecture. You will view the Eastham Windmill built in 1680, Cape Cod lighthouses, and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor’s Center. Sand dunes and the ocean will surround you as you approach your destination – Provincetown. “P-town” is a wonderful, quirky village that has a rich history combining a love of the sea and the arts. This is the point where the Pilgrims first landed. Your guide will point out all the highlights for shopping, dining and browsing. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of shops, galleries, and restaurants that make P-town so unique. Lunch is on your own.  How about some Portuguese Kale soup and a lobster roll? Later, board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of whale watching. Try to spot Humpback, Minke and Fin Whales pointed out by an on-board naturalist. Or, you may take a dune tour excursion to ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your driver/guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers have created works of art. Dinner will be at your leisure in P-Town.  (B)

Day 6 – Hyannis Touring – Nantucket
Breakfast starts the day before you begin in the Cape’s “hub” and drive along Main Street Hyannis stopping at the Kennedy and Korean War Memorials, view St. Francis Xavier Church where the Kennedy’s attended. Then, board your high-speed catamaran for a cruise to the stunning island of Nantucket. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a walking history tour and point out the restaurants, galleries, shops and museums that are within walking distance of the dock area for time on your own for lunch, sightseeing and shopping. This is where Macy’s got his start among other historic events. Later, enjoy a narrated Nantucket Island Tour. Another high-speed ferry ride takes you back to the main land. After time to freshen up, feast on a lobster dinner tonight.  (An alternate entrée is available for those “landlubbers” not wishing to eat lobster). (B,D)

Day 7 – Home
After a leisurely breakfast, depart with sand in your shoes, seashells in your pocket and fond memories as you make our way home! (B)

ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.

RESERVATIONS:  To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation.  Deposit of $200 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS: Deposits are refundable for any cancellation received 76 days prior to departure. 75-45 days prior to departure: a cancellation fee amounting to 25% of total price or deposit (whichever is greater) will be charged. 44-31 days prior: 50%. 30 days and under 100%. Cancellation insurance is available, highly recommended and non-refundable.
