Day three                                            Explore Charleston South Carolina

There are endless ways to explore Charleston. With so many sights to see, so much rich history to uncover, let us get started…… we’re off to explore Charleston with its southern elegance and urban charm, in a rich coastal culture!

Learn about the history and take in the grandeur of Middleton Place.

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens – South Carolina’s most popular garden, unlike most of America’s gardens, which are formal and seek to control nature, Magnolia cooperates with nature to create a tranquil landscape like Eden where humanity and nature are in harmony.

Depart for Historic Charleston Carriage Tour for a look back 300 years to Colonial times with views and stories of antebellum mansions, churches, gardens and more!

Relax aboard the Spirit of Carolina as you take in the beautiful sunset during a luxury Dinner Cruise, before returning to your resort on Kiawah Island.

Day four                                              Hilton Head Island South Carolina

America’s favorite Island with it’s natural landscape and beautiful open spaces are just two reasons we choose Hilton Head Island for a 2-night stay on this coastal island paradise!

Today, our tour on Hilton Head Island begins withour the remarkable culture of the Gullah people of the South Carolina Lowcountry, narrated by native Gullah folks. You will travel through the Gullah communities on Hilton Head Island when the island’s landscape, with moss-draped live oak trees, was only farmlands, trees, dirt roads, wildlife, and natural waterways throughout and around the island.

After our tour, Discover the charm and allure of picture-perfect Harbour Town! Free time to explore and dine at your leisure, finding signature craft shops, and one-of-a-kind art galleries. Visit the historic Harbour Town Lighthouse, with its iconic red and white stripes, provides a stunning aerial view of the marina for those who climb to the top.

Next, explore Hilton Head Island by Sea and enjoy an unforgettable experience, with its pleasant ocean breezes, inviting waterways, scenic landscapes, and fascinating wildlife. You will observe dolphins in their natural habitat, as well as a variety of shore birds, such as egrets, herons, pelicans, and others.

Before returning to your resort, our tour will enjoy dinner at The Crazy Crab, a spectacular waterfront dining experience with breathtaking Lowcountry sunsets, and the largest saltwater fish tank in town.

Day five                                               Savannah Georgia and Tybee Island

Arrive early morning at the Savannah Visitors Center to meet our guide, “A Savannah Hat Lady”, she will prove why Savannah is known as the hospitality city of the South! As we embark on a tour of the city, the history of our fair lady Savannah will come to life. Your guide will weave her magic telling the history from James Edward Oglethorpe to modern day.

We leave Savannah to discover the low country……From the islands……………to the beaches of Tybee…..

This afternoon cruise to Tybee and enjoy a tour of Tybee Island highlighting the Tybee Pier, lighthouse and more. Learn of her illustrious past…..from Oglethorpe to Cab Callaway…Hollywood to Modern Age.

This evening, “A Savannah Hat Lady”, will show you how the elite eat in their bare feet and entertain at the beach! Ms. Linda will welcome us to her home, TYBREEZA – a historic raised Tybee cottage circa 1918. We will be treated to a traditional Low Country Boil.  Enjoy signature drinks upon arrival. This will be an evening to recall for years as you learn how Southerners entertain at the beach, TYBEE STYLE.

Return to your Hilton Head Island Resort Hotel

Day six                                                 Beaufort North Carolina

From eccentric history steeped in legendary tales of swashbuckling pirate adventures and ghostly encounters, to exotic wild horses roaming the same shores for centuries, this is truly an island experience and a quaint maritime village saturated with memories of the past.

Enjoy a relaxing dinner and a restful night’s sleep at the Beaufort Hotel on the Crystal Coast!

Day seven                                           Discover the Islands of the Crystal Coast

The perfect Crystal Coast island-hopping recipe consists of one adventurous soul, several wonderfully uninhabited barrier islands, sprinkled with a dash of saltwater and baked all day under the gloriously warm sun.

Discover the Islands of the Crystal Coast aboard the Crystal Coast Lady Cruises!  As we travel the calm waters around the islands of the Crystal Coast this tour goes up Taylor’s Creek past beautiful waterfront homes and the Rachel Carson Reserve. We also cruise past other places such as Harkers Island, Middle Marsh, Wade Shore, Fort Macon, Pivers Island, and even past Shackleford Banks… where for more than 400 years the wild horses of Shackleford Banks, or “Banker Ponies”, have taken care of their young, frolicked on pristine deserted beaches and foraged for food with not a saddle or fence in sight!

See Beaufort Historic District aboard a vintage 1948 English double-decker bus and after our tour you’ll enjoy our visit to the North Carolina Maritime Museum, the official repository for all of the artifacts discovered on the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship captained by the infamous pirate, Blackbeard. View cannons, grenades, belt buckles and more from the storied ship.

Enjoy on your own some free time for lunch and shopping for souvenirs to take home as memories of Historic Beaufort.  Then board our coach and relax as we travel up the coast to a resort Island, located in Virginia on the Eastern Shore of the Delmarva Peninsula, and discover Chincoteague Island.

Dinner stop will be included enroute before arriving at the Marina Bay Hotel on Chincoteague Island for our 2-night stay, a luxury resort with a true island feel – unpack and enjoy an evening reception.

Day eight                            Chincoteague & Assateague Island

Next morning begins with a hot breakfast buffet at Marina Bay Hotel to get you started.

Board our coach for a short drive to NASA Visitor Center to learn about the fascinating programs at NASA’s Wallops Island Flight Facility – from the sea to the moon and beyond, Wallops plays a vital role in conducting aerospace and science research.

Our group will learn the lore of the land and the riches of the seas at the Museum of Chincoteague Island.  Discover the 1st Order Fresnel Lens from the Assateague Island Lighthouse, the iconic Chincoteague ponies known as Misty and Stormy, models of vessels that plied the Chincoteague waters long ago, items that washed ashore from shipwrecks, a decoy carver’s workshop, and oral histories, documents, and artifacts that tell the story of Chincoteague Island life throughout its long and varied existence.  Then travel to see Assateague Island Lighthouse circa 1867 and climb its 175 stairs to an amazing view from the top deck. Visit the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, includes more than 14,000 acres of beach, dunes, marsh, and maritime forest, starts with a visit to the Herbert H. Bateman Educational and Administrative Center, a variety of exhibits and displays.

Dinner at a local restaurant feasting on fresh from the water clams, world-famous Chincoteague Oysters, or the “catch of the day” – End the day with a relaxing pontoon cruise around the islands and capture a breathtaking sunset over the Chincoteague Bay.
