Day one – Home to Cleveland, OH
Get ready to take an unforgettable Christmas Journey! Tonight, we settle into the Drury Plaza Hotel Cleveland Downtown, all dressed up in its Christmas finery, with their 5:30pm Kick-off, after our tour of “A Christmas Story House” – which was used in the exterior scenes of Ralphie Parker’s house in the 1983 film A Christmas Story! With the leg lamp in the window, this Christmas classic is a holiday tradition that millions watch each year and so will you on your way to Cleveland, Ohio!
Day two – Cleveland to Frankenmuth, MI
After an included breakfast at the hotel we depart for Frankenmuth, for an afternoon arrival of Christmas Merriment…. We begin with a historic city tour including a tour of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church with our own step-on guide. After the city tour we will visit;
- Michigan’s Military and Space Heroes museum which houses the country’s largest collection of Medals of Honor.
- Visit the Frankenmuth Clock Company and see the over 150 unique cuckoo clocks.
Finally, we will enjoy a world famous chicken dinner at the Bavarian Inn, home of The Bavarian Inn Glockenspiel Tower, a magnificent 35-bell carillon, a beautiful figurine movement and an illuminated clock, all imported from Germany depicting the legend of The Pied Piper of Hamlin!
Dusk is upon us so we can see all the wonderful Christmas decorations all over town! We arrive at Drury Inn & Suites Frankenmuth, get settled into our rooms for a 2-night stay. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day three – Frankenmuth
After a wonderful breakfast at our hotel, we depart for the world’s largest Christmas Store, Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland! We will take time to do some shopping and have a light lunch on our own at their “Snack.
- World’s largest Christmas Store, Bronner’s fantasyland, featuring shimmering lights, sparkling ornaments, and whimsical animated figures – a worldwide selection of over 50,000 trims and gifts. A delightful shopping experience for Bronner’s guest since 1945
- Tour of Zeilinger Wool Company and learn about wool processing on a hands-on tour.
We will return to the hotel for free time to enjoy all the boutique and variety shops of downtown Frankenmuth, at your leisure, and The Frankenmuth Cheese Haus is truly a quality gem in this wonderful city, not to miss!
- Depart for Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth Holiday Dinner Show featuring The Marlins – Sure to put you in the holiday spirit with a delicious dinner and a great holiday show! The four brother’s voices meld together many of your favorite Christmas tunes for a wonderful harmony along with playing over 20 instruments. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day four – Frankenmuth to Grosse Pointe Shores, MI to Toledo, OH
After another breakfast at your hotel, we will begin our journey back to New York, retracing the same roadways as we did on our journey to Frankenmuth. Before we check into the Hampton Inn for our final overnight in Ohio, you are in for a very pleasant visit at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House! We will have a wonderful dinner before seeing and experiencing the private lives of one of America’s most prominent automotive families as you marvel at the art, design and grandeur of the Ford family home! Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Day five – Toledo, OH to Home
We will enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the Hampton Inn preparing us for a comfortable journey home. Together we will recall wonderfully festive memories of A Frankenmuth Christmas! Meals: Breakfast
SEATING PREFERENCE: If yes, please let us know your preference in the special requirements section on the booking page with the specific seat, seat location and if you would like to sit near someone. We encourage you to book early to accommodate any special needs and to assure that members of your party will be seated together. We reserve the right to assign seats when necessary.
ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.
RESERVATIONS: To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation. Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses.
