 “Gemutlichkeit” (Welcome) to THE TRAPP FAMILY LODGE in Stowe, Vermont.  This unique mountain resort features Austrian-inspired architecture and European-style accommodations.  You

will enjoy stunning mountain views, old world comforts and impeccable service.

 THREE-COURSE DINNER is included this evening in the Main Dining Room.


COUNTRY BREAKFAST BUFFET is included this morning at the lodge.

TRAPP HISTORY TOUR – The tour begins with an overview of the von Trapp family history (actual vs movie version) discussion of the property’s history and the family’s early years in America. View a documentary film of Maria von Trapp’s memories during her final visit to her former home in Salzburg, Austria. Finish your tour with a viewing of the Documentary “The Real Maria”. Shop in their Austrian Gift Shop and have your souvenir signed by one of the Trapp Family members, to take home.

Enjoy free time in STOWE VILLAGE for lunch on your own.  Browse the shops of this charming village with its “most photographed” church steeple.

Find out how two childhood friends turned a $5.00 correspondence course into a very successful ice cream business.  Tour BEN & JERRY’S ICE CREAM FACTORY and learn the manufacturing process and taste the delicious samples!

Return to the lodge for AFTERNOON TEA.

DINNER BUFFET at the new “Bierhall” overlooking the brewery where they make varieties of Trapp Family craft beers!


COUNTRY BREAKFAST BUFFET is included this morning at the lodge.

Your LOCAL GUIDE will meet our group for a day of touring.

Your first stop is the MORSE MAPLE SUGAR FARM.  Learn how maple syrup is made as you tour the sugar house.  View the multimedia displays in a real woodshed theatre.  Stroll along a nature trail and shop in the country store.  Complete your tour in the Vermont Farm Life Museum complete with whimsical carved folk like characters.

Travel to MONTPELIER and tour the STATE CAPITOL – the smallest in the United States!

Lunch is on your own at the State Capitol Café.

Your last stop of the day is the CABOT CHEESE ANNEX.  Browse the fantastic selection of Cabot products, sample their award-winning cheeses, and delight in many other Vermont specialty foods.

Visit the other shops in the Annex and pick up some delicious Lake Champlain Chocolates, enjoy the beautiful Danforth Pewter store and be sure to visit the new Smugglers’ Notch Distillery tasting room! Visit and re-energize with a cup of coffee from Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center & Café.

Return to the lodge for AFTERNOON TEA.

After checking out, we depart for a family-owned business who have been hand-cutting and sewing Vermont Flannel™ in the USA for over 25 years. “We hope you love our products as much as we do”

Special Requests & Additional Information

SEATING PREFERENCE: If yes, please let us know your preference in the special requirements section on the booking page with the specific seat, seat location and if you would like to sit near someone. Check out our seat assignment policy page for our seating chart. If no preference is made, your seat will be assigned by Wade Tours. Check out the seating chart to the left!!

We encourage you to book early to accommodate any special needs and to assure that members of your party will be seated together. We reserve the right to assign seats when necessary.

ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.

RESERVATIONS:  To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation.  Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Is available and recommended due to unforeseen circumstances that can arise and if they do, we want you to be protected BEFORE and DURING your tour. Travel Insurance
