Stay at the HOTEL DU PONT – Check-in at this legendary hotel, set in the historic and beautiful Brandywine Valley. Over the course of 100 years, the prestigious HOTEL DU PONT has welcomed Presidents, First Ladies and world leaders earning its reputation as the premiere hotel in the State of Delaware.
Longwood Gardens – Whether you’re enjoying the breathtaking beauty of our 4-acre Conservatory or exploring our many outdoor displays, there is always something in bloom. Pierre S. du Pont’s love of water and fountains is embodied in Longwood’s Italian Water Garden. Simple color tones—green grass, blue-tiled fountains, and sparkling water—create a serene atmosphere, from the sculptures inspired by his travels in Italy.
Experience a piece of Europe with this water delight. The history of this much-loved water Garden, which debuted in 1927, is similar to one seen by the du Pont’s at the Villa Gamberaia near Florence, Italy.

Indulge in breakfast in The Green Room at the HOTEL DU PONT – Begin your day with a hot buffet breakfast in one of the most elegant hotel dining rooms in the country, featuring traditional French cuisine, and winner of the Four- Diamond AAA Award for 32 consecutive years.
View the “Costuming THE CROWN” exhibit and discover Winterthur Museum and Gardens – The grandeur of Winterthur Museum and Gardens makes it the perfect place to host “Costuming THE CROWN,” an exhibition featuring 40 iconic costumes from the Emmy® Award-winning series, “THE CROWN.” The elegant dresses
designed by award-winning designers Michele Clayton and Jane Petrie are among the stars of the Netflix series.
Dine at Winterthur Garden Cafe for lunch (on own) – Located in the Visitor Center, the Garden Café at Winterthur provides an enclosed Pavilion setting and features enticing entrees and extensive salad bar.
Experience Nemours Estate – The Nemours Estate is the former home of Alfred I. du Pont and is situated on 220 landscaped acres of land in the rolling hills of the Brandywine Valley. The late 18th-century French style home, surrounding by magnificent sculptured gardens, is decorated with rare rugs, antique tapestries, oil paintings, and decorative arts.
Return to the HOTEL DU PONT – This evening is on your own to enjoy dining at the elegant Hotel Du Pont and treat yourself to a royal experience, with its opulent style and world-class cuisine. Or join us at Pizza by Elizabeths, savor casual dining with deliciously healthy pizzas, gourmet salads, luscious desserts – for a dining experience that’s unforgettable – just like our favorite Elizabeths.
DAY 3 – July 19, 2019
Enjoy another delicious hot buffet breakfast at the HOTEL DU PONT – a leisurely breakfast before our group departs for Hagley Museum and Library, following check-out.
Visit Hagley Museum and Library – where the du Pont story of their American Dream begins. Located on 235-acres along the Brandywine River, Hagley is the site of the du Pont gunpowder works founded in 1802. You will tour restored mills, a workers’ community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.
Lunch at Hagley Museum and Library – Enjoy a delicious catered meal for our group before departing for home.
SEATING PREFERENCE: If yes, please let us know your preference in the special requirements section on the booking page with the specific seat, seat location and if you would like to sit near someone. Check out our seat assignment policy page for our seating chart. If no preference is made, your seat will be assigned by Wade Tours. Check out the seating chart to the left!!
We encourage you to book early to accommodate any special needs and to assure that members of your party will be seated together. We reserve the right to assign seats when necessary.
ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.
RESERVATIONS: To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation. Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses.
