Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Seattle (Wed 6/3) Your tour begins upon arrival in The Evergreen State, Washington. Your tour director will welcome you as you arrive in Seattle, the “Emerald City.” Transfer to downtown Seattle and check in for a two-night stay. After some free time to settle in and relax, join the group for a welcome dinner. Holiday Inn Express or similar, Seattle, WA (D)

Day 2 – Seattle (Thu 6/4) This morning depart for a tour of Seattle including the historic downtown area, Pioneer Square and the Seattle Center for a ride to the top of the Space Needle. Visit Pike Place Market, the oldest continuously operating market in the United States. Take time for lunch on own and to shop at this fascinating multi-level bazaar, where you can buy anything from an old clock to an octopus! In the late afternoon board a cruise ship for a scenic ride across Puget Sound to Tillicum Village to experience Native American history and culture. Enjoy a salmon feast followed by native dance and music before returning across the sound with a spectacular view of Seattle’s nighttime skyline. Holiday Inn Express or similar, Seattle, WA (B, D)

Day 3 – Seattle – Portland (Fri 6/5) Depart Seattle and travel to Tacoma and visit the intriguing Museum of Glass. Continue your journey south to Mt. St. Helen’s National Volcanic Monument — witness nature’s awesome destructive power along with its incredible ability to recover. Arrive in Portland, the “City of Roses,” for a tour of the city including the famous Portland Rose Gardens. Check into the hotel in downtown Portland for a three-night stay. Day 4 – Festival of Roses – Japanese Gardens (Sat 6/6) Today we are in for a real treat as we experience the Festival of Roses! There will be time to enjoy the pre-parade entertainment, and take our seats in the Memorial Coliseum to view the parade. Lunch on your own downtown. After lunch join back up with the group for a private tour of the Portland Japanese Garden. The Garden sits nestled in the hills of Portland, Oregon’s iconic Washington Park, overlooking the city and providing a tranquil, urban oasis for locals and travelers alike. Enjoy some free time in the park to see the exhibits on display and visit the gift shop. End this amazing day the way you want it with dinner on your own. Comfort Inn & Suites, Portland, OR (B)

Day 5 – Columbia River Gorge (Sun 6/7) Depart this morning for sightseeing. See the famed Columbia River Gorge including Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Dam and the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center. After lunch on your own, travel along the Hood River with spectacular views of Mt. Hood stopping at the Timberline Lodge. Return to Portland, and enjoy dinner on your own. Day 6 – Oregon Coast (Mon 6/8) This morning depart your hotel south through the Willamette Valley to the lush Coastal Mountains on your way to the scenic Oregon Coast. Stop in Lincoln City for lunch, then have the opportunity to see the world’s shortest river – the D~River – and the world’s smallest harbor, Depoe Bay. Continue down the coast to Newport to visit the Oregon Aquarium and the Oceanographic Museum. After checking into your hotel in Newport, the evening is free to explore on your own. Day 7 – Redwood National Park (Tue 6/9) After breakfast we make our way into the breath-taking Redwood National Park, with lunch at the Trees of Mystery. Later, continue on to Humboldt State Park. Enjoy an overnight stay in the heart of California’s redwood country in Eureka, California. Red Lion Hotel, Eureka, CA (B, L)

Day 8 – Eureka – San Francisco (Wed 6/10) Today continue on into California’s Wine Country, stopping at a winery in Sonoma to taste some of the finest vintages produced in the world! After an included lunch, cross the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco, where you are free for the remainder of the day to do some shopping and exploring. You hotel is located in Union Square, right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything that is San Francisco. Handlery Union Square, San Francisco, CA (B, L)

Day 9 – San Francisco (Thu 6/11) Explore the “Gateway to the Orient” this morning with a comprehensive sightseeing tour of San Francisco. See the Civic Center, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Chinatown, and much more. After this delightful chance to become better acquainted with San Francisco, the rest of the afternoon is free to continue exploring on your own. This evening join your fellow passengers for a farewell banquet at one of the restaurants on Pier 39. Handlery Union Square, San Francisco, CA (B, D)

Day 10 – Home (Fri 6/12) Depart for home from the San Francisco Airport (transfer included). (B)
