Tour Itinerary

Day One, Saturday, May 25, 2019

Arrive in Washington, DC.  And meet our local GUIDE at the United States Navy Memorial.  Visit the memorial and Naval Heritage Center museum.  The Naval Heritage Center is located just off the Memorial plaza, in the heart of the Penn Quarter and offers visitors the chance to learn about the history and heritage of the men and women of the United States Navy – past, present and future.

Tour the Visitors Center at Arlington National Cemetery. This is the final resting place for President John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audie Murphy, prizefighter Joe Louis, and thousands of soldiers from every major U.S. war. Arlington House home of Civil War General Robert E. Lee, Space Shuttle Challenger Astronaut’s Memorial and the Tomb of the Unknowns.

Depart for a welcome dinner this evening at Brio Tuscan Grille – brings the pleasure of the Tuscan Country Villa to escape and enjoy “La Dolce Vita” (the good life).

Check in to Hilton Dulles, Herndon, VA.  Baggage handling included.

Day Two, Sunday, May 26, 2019

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning. Depart for the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico.  Enjoy lunch on own while at  the Marine Corps Museum.

Tour continues with a Stop at the Air Force Memorial, overlooking the nation’s capital.  Continue with a stop at the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue) One of the largest bronze statues ever cast depicts the American Flag being raised on Mount Suribachi during World War II.

Arrive and take seating at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Enjoy a Patriotic Choral Festival at the Concert Hall in the Kennedy Center.

Depart for dinner included at the District ChopHouse and Brewery before continuing our tour with an Illuminated Monument Driving Tour.  Washington’s grand buildings, memorials, and monuments sparkle and are impressive during the day; but in the evenings they are illuminated, soft, focusing the solid stones and bronzes; fountains and water features shimmer in reflection; shadows darken highlighting the floodlit detail. Impressive during the day – stunning at night!

  • Drive by other memorials and monuments as time permits.

Day Three, Monday, May 27, 2019  MEMORIAL DAY

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before departing for a visit the White House Visitor’s Center. Explore an interactive touchscreen tour of the White House, view over 90 artifacts from the White House collection, shopping, and view the 14-minute film, “White House: Reflections From Within.”

  • Stop for a photo opportunity of the White House!
  • Stop at The Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
  • Stop at The Lincoln Memorial.
  • Stop at The Korean War Veterans Memorial.
  • Stop at The National World War II Memorial.

Visit your choice of the Smithsonian Institution’s museums on the National Mall.

  • National Museum of African American History and Culture.
  • National Museum of American History.
  • National Air & Space Museum. 
  • National Museum of Natural History. 
  • National Museum of the American Indian.
  • National Gallery of Art
  • Freer & Sackler Galleries. 
  • Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. 
  • National Museum of African Art.

Take seating for lunch with the Troops and the National Memorial Day Parade, which is the largest Memorial Day parade in the world telecasted live worldwide to all of our troops and services teams.

Enjoy a Farewell dinner included this evening at Café Deluxe before we return to your hotel.

Day Four, Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out. Depart for the Capitol Visitor Center on Capitol Hill.  The Capitol Visitor Center welcomes visitors to the seat of American government.

  • Visit the United States Capitol
  • Visit the United States Library of Congress
  • Tour the Supreme Court Building
  • Enjoy lunch on own at the Capitol Visitor Center.

Special Requests & Additional Information

SEATING PREFERENCE: If yes, please let us know your preference in the special requirements section on the booking page with the specific seat, seat location and if you would like to sit near someone. Check out our seat assignment policy page for our seating chart. If no preference is made, your seat will be assigned by Wade Tours. Check out the seating chart to the left!!

We encourage you to book early to accommodate any special needs and to assure that members of your party will be seated together. We reserve the right to assign seats when necessary.

ROOM PREFERENCE: We offer both two queen bed rooms and single king bed rooms. Please let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you to that room.

RESERVATIONS:  To be FAIR and IMPARTIAL seat assignments will be taken at the time of booking your reservation.  Deposit of $100 per person. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations within 60 days from departure will be subject to a $100 fee per person, plus cost for tickets, meals, hotels and other non-recoverable expenses.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: Is available and recommended due to unforeseen circumstances that can arise and if they do, we want you to be protected BEFORE and DURING your tour. Travel Insurance
